User's Background Information

Hello! I'm a normal person who is trying to survive this crazy world just like everyone else. I grew up in a ghetto, mainly with my mom raising me but have since my early teens moved around a lot, I've had the opportunity to live/study/work in three different countries and I am planning on maybe exploring new territories again soon. Since I am as person under constant development I have also changed my focus of interest a few times, I have studied business, marketing, architecture and art. Lately I have developed a huge interest for urban planning and landscaping. Besides from that I like doing yoga, surfing, hiking and just enjoying beautiful days outside with friends, family and dogs.

Opinions Expressed by User for the following Questions

What is your opinion on God ? religion ?

I think looking up at the sky is a waste of time when we have so much here in front of us and if we only looked at each other and within the power of one self instead, the meaning, purpose and love would be greater among us which I think is important for our identity as one and whole. For example I've heard people say, "It was God's will that he died in the car accident." I would rather blame the car manufacturer who built a car that is not accident proof enough in the first place. If we only let things be as they are and "hope" for the best, no improvement would ever be done and that would mean the end of evolution, which is our entire purpose of even being here on the planet. But, I also see God as something within my inner voice and my energy. I think we are all holy only by being alive, and if people don't understand the greatness in the world, then religion might be a good path. But if one is good and has their heart and mind in the right place, then no written religion is needed. All you need is to be in peace with yourself and your surrounding. I think that's the true meaning of "finding God".

What is your opinion on love ? sex ? marriage ?

I think that symbolically manifesting your love is beautiful and every person should experience it in life. I don't believe that a promise to God or the state or to anyone else will make a better marriage/relationship; therefore it shouldn't be treated as anything else than it actually is. I can’t stand the fairy tale image of marriage because it puts too much pressure of having certain roles and living a certain life that comes with the image of marriage. Everyone needs to create their own sincere meaning of marriage and see through and beyond what is already suggested as it. The actual ceremony of marriage should only be like the cherry on the cream top or whatever you say, and not the essence of the relationship. I prefer when priests or suit people are not included in the ceremony, they are enough involved in our lives as it is, they shall have absolutely nothing to say about two people's relationship or love. Enjoying and experiencing different relationships makes me grow, and they seem to get better and better because I learn greatly about what I really want and what I don't, not only in a partner I'm with but in life as well. I do believe in true love, but I don't believe that everyone who has a boyfriend/ girlfriend/husband/wife always is having a deep "true love" relationship. Sex should be fun and also bring connecting souls closer. Sex is best when honesty, love and a bunch of attraction is involved. We just need to stop making it such a big deal, because I think the media/religious image of sex in societies has lead to believe that sex should be hidden and sometimes forbidden, or the other way, which has overexposed and twisted the image, which is pretty violent, and “machista”. I do think that the exposed "super sexy woman" on tv or in porn have messed with both men's and women's image of sex and right now I feel like it's only getting worse because I observe how men around me behave and talk. I think money has been the core cause to that (and the rest of the shit that's going on in the world for that matter) Away with the guilt about sex!! Because we do it anyway and the only feeling we should have about it is happiness and pleasure.

Are you happy ? Why or why not? How do you think a person can be happy ?

Yes, I am a happy person because I have learned to be so, I haven't always been happy. Happiness comes the day you find it within and when you can find something good in everything. Also when you start understanding things with not only your thinking and words told or said, but with your senses as well. Feeling connected to who you are, what you do, whom you're with is important to feel happiness. And again, AWAY WITH GUILT and norms that you deep down are against you, and let the good people in your life come closer and influence you. Remember that everything we have seen and learned in life has not always been that way and will not be so in the future. As young we do not understand the relevancy of the things that we learn, but people and happenings before our time have decided many things without asking you or anyone else really. Therefore it is good to question things in life and never consider yourself a complete person.

If you think you are wealthy ? what made you this wealth ? if you are not wealthy, what kept you back ?

I am not wealthy in terms of money; I have enough to survive but not to buy houses, cars etc. Money becomes relevant depending on where you are. In the super capitalistic world of USA where I used to live I was constantly focused on making money and making more and more. In a different country in South America, where I have also spent time I did not feel the same urge because other things mattered more all of a sudden. I think I am wealthy because I have learned to understand that wealth is relative to your environment and lifestyle. What I have also noticed is that it is not necessarily the smartest people or the hardest workers that have all the money but are those who have learned how to get the money and have learned to play by the rules of the game. Therefore I don’t completely trust in this system and I don’t think it will last for much longer. 1% of the world’s population owns 40% of the world’s money, which has created the greatest difference in history between poor and rich but it can only continue until a certain point, which I think we will be facing relatively soon. There is already an excellent plan over how we can build a sustainable world free from money, which I am excited about, but it is the transition that I am afraid of.

What is your opinion on death ?

Death is part of life, but hard to handle for us humans, maybe because in our society it is seen as something dark and sad. And if someone in our life that brings us love all of a sudden is absent, it is the absence of the love that we get sad about as well as the person. I many times feel the same way in my gut about break-ups as with deaths. That's why I can hate when people say "there's plenty of fish in the sea" because every love is special and becomes part of you and I believe loss deserves grief for a bit to remind you of what you hold dear.

What do you think is the most efficient way to make money ?

There's no effective way, money has us all tangled up in this game that I don't like. We have given too much power to money, a piece of paper with some old dude on and a number, which determines many things in our lives. If you have too much, you screw the poor ones over, if you have too little you screw yourself over. The most efficient way depends on where you are, how much taxes you have to pay, what jobs are attractive in that area and so on. For me, so far promotion has been the most efficient way of making a lot of money by little effort during relatively little time. But I don't feel completely good about it when knowing other people work 10 times harder for 10 times less money somewhere else. And others make millions in just one day! For example, I used to work at the busiest McDonald’s in my city where I could work straight 10-hour shifts like an animal and make about 65 dollars after tax in one shift. This kind of job caused me stress which lead to insomnia, depression and trouble with digestion. The promotional job I had gave me 80 dollars in one hour only by showing up at an event and taking care of guests. Neither of the jobs required any special previous experience or education. So what's efficient, I don't know. You just need your own way through life, no way is really good or bad since we all depend on it and no one can completely avoid money in this system.

What is THE MOST important thing to you in your life ? Why ?

Being free of choice (as much as possible) and not having anyone else determining my life. (or choking me with guilt) Having the partners and friends that I want. My family is also important. Living close to the ocean and mountains, the sun, health, positivity, music, food etc. Being able to travel around. Because I think these things are core factors to a good life, they make me feel peaceful, excited, loving, harmonious etc.

If you had to pass on advise to your kids about how to live life, what would that be ?

I would teach them to question things and how to make things better and not always be happy with the answer people give them (including myself) if it doesn't feel completely right or makes sense to them. Extending their thinking is important. I would teach them about choices and the importance of communication.

Is a person in control of his/her destiny ? Why or why not ?

You can change your destiny if you learn that you CAN control it and if you take action in it. If you keep obeying everything that is set up for you already, you are most likely to not control your destiny very much, but others will do it for you. "Destiny" is about making choices, and of course if you make a certain decision you will have certain outcomes. I can't always change the world, but making the best out of my situation and life will put me in control of my destiny as much as possible. Since we all live by rules, laws, money, country structure and in this pyramid of the society, depending on your position in it determines how much you can move around in it. Also your ability to behave accordingly to society’s rules, the language you speak, how much money you have, etc etc sets up if you're going to make it to the "destiny" that you wish for yourself to have or not. The mind is very powerful.

Do you think it would be helpful for a person to read what you have said ? Why or why not ?

I hope so! I have been more elaborate and honest than normally during a live conversation, and I probably have said things clearer as well. I think writing opinions like these are important both for the writer and reader because it gives a greater perspective of life.
