Opinions Expressed by User for the following Questions

What is your opinion on God ? religion ?

I don't believe in any god. If everyone took their holy books literally I think we would live in a horrible immoral place. If you are going to pick and choose what you believe in your holy book then you might as well throw the whole thing out the window. If your going to pick and choose then you’ve proven that you don’t need some old book to learn about what is and isn't moral. I believe religion is primitive and that in a few hundred years humanity will look back with embarrassment on religion just as we do now on the atrocities committed in its name. I think if agnostics or moderate religious people really studied religion they would realize that it is completely baseless and should not be taken seriously. I think that religious people who take their holy books literally are insane. Some people claim that atheism is a religion because they are so sure they are right just like religious fanatics. first of all not all atheists are like that, and second even the ones who are, are "better" than religious

What is your opinion on love ? sex ? marriage ?

I have never experienced love but if it really is more than just liking someone a lot then I’d be curious as to what is actually going on in the brain when you’re in love. I think that sex can range from something that two people in love do when they come to a certain point in their relationship, to just something fun to do under the right circumstances. I don’t see anything wrong with having sex at a young age as long as you are informed about the problems that could come from it. Marriage? Don’t be too hasty. Make sure it’s someone you love and don’t do it to early. Even if you do, there’s no problem with a divorce unless you have kids. Gay marriage is ok with me. i try to be a reasonable person so I can say I understand the argument that marriage is defined as between a woman and a man, but I don’t believe it is ruining the American family or any nonsense like that. I think that you shouldn’t care what other people are doing as long as it doesn’t affect you in a negative way. Just leave them alon

Are you happy ? Why or why not? How do you think a person can be happy ?

I’m not very happy. I have few interests, and I’m bored and or depressed most of the time. I don’t have the greatest social life in the world, but even if a I had an ass load of friends I don’t know what I’d do with them, because like I said I have few interest. This could be because of poor choices I’ve made in life or maybe I just need some pills.

If you think you are wealthy ? what made you this wealth ? if you are not wealthy, what kept you back ?

I still live with my parents but they are not wealthy. My dad has his own small solar company. He installs and repairs both kinds of solar systems but has very few employees so he isn't exactly raking in the cash. But at least he’s doing something good in life. My mom has two PhD’s in physics and seismology. She is also very educated in many, many subjects but is currently very underemployed working as an algebra teacher to college art students. You could say the reason we aren’t wealthy is because of me, my brother and my father. My brother and I don't want to leave town because of our friends and my dad has his business here. If we moved my mom could find a good job.

What is your opinion on death ?

I believe that nothing happens after death. You probably just “go to sleep”. Because you probably don’t experience anything after death it’s not something to fear in itself, and it won’t be your problem when it happens. On the other hand you should probably fear death because it can be accompanied with intense pain. It’s really more the problem of your family and friends who will miss you. When you think about it, it’s really because they will miss you and not because you’re actually dead, that people grieve for you after you pass. I know this sounds kind of cynical, but bear with me. I don’t believe that, universally, or in general, human life has any value. To emphasize what I just wrote, when someone dies it sucks because they are gone and will be missed. Maybe because they were an important person that was doing good in the world, or something like that but, not simply because they are dead. I don’t think this means that people can go around killing and it won’t matter. It matters to us. It ma

What do you think is the most efficient way to make money ?

I don't know. im still a kid withouut any business experience. but i don't think money is the most important thing ever and i don't see why this sight focuses so much on peoples ideas of how to get it.

What is THE MOST important thing to you in your life ? Why ?

my parents. they are the only thing between me and suicide, because i wouldn't want them to have to go through that. alcohol, drugs, friends and video based entertainment. without those id be so bored id top myself even if my parents were still around.

If you had to pass on advise to your kids about how to live life, what would that be ?

im 16 so the only thing i can say is to find a balance between workign hard and doing what you love. don't think that doing only what you love will always get you places in life. but don't think that money is the most important thing either. stay openminded, and raed a lot.

Is a person in control of his/her destiny ? Why or why not ?

It can be argued that all the choices we make are based on past decisions, actions, etc, and therefore even if we rewound time we would make the same decisions and therefore would have a fate. If you have fate you can say you don’t really have free will. Others would argue that if you rewound time you wouldn’t always repeat your actions. I’m in no place to be sure of anything on this subject, except that either way you are still making decisions. Lets say the first scenario is correct. Just because you repeat these decisions doesn’t mean you didn’t actually have a choice. The reason you repeated them was because you were the same person in the same place and time as before. You had no reason to make a different choice. But like I said I’m not in a position to make any final decisions on this age old debate.

Do you think it would be helpful for a person to read what you have said ? Why or why not ?

Yes, because I think on a couple of these topics I have a very rare or strange, yet rational opinion that people should take under consideration, unless you are a devout christian of course...
